All that matters is YOUR website said a portable would work.and it doesn't. Why would we want to return if we can't listen to the movie? I wrote a email to the manager and his response was "I don't know why you wouldn't listen to your car radio.but, if you want a refund I guess I can write you a personal check if you want to come get it." It doesn't matter WHY I don't want to use my car radio. We finally gave up and asked for a refund. The teenager and my husband walked all over the area, but the station never worked. He went back again and soon returned with a teenager in tow. They told my husband to pull closer to the concession stand.where it was broadcasting from. I have nothing against teenagers solely running a place.IF they are well informed. So, my husband ran to the ticket booth in search for help. When the previews started.our radio wouldn't pick up the station. We got there early, set up our blankets, pillows, cooler, radio and the fresh baked brownies.and patiently waited.

Because the idea of running down our car battery and having to buy another one (adding $60 to the cost of movie tickets) we thought this was a great idea and loaded up the truck one Saturday night. Their website says that you can bring a portable radio if you don't want to use your car radio. I rarely give a bad rating.but, this place earned one. There was a massive lightening storm while we were there, but that didn't affect the showing and just made it that little more memorable. Staff can bump start your car if you need them too though. My car didn't run out of battery, but I just turned it on once or twice during the evening to make sure.

You tune your radio into the appropriate station and that is how you get the audio. They have arcade games and snacks in the shack and these were a good price too, although it was disappointing that they weren't selling coffee that night as the second film ended really late. You then park wherever you like - the tarmac is on a slight incline in rows so that the front of your car is elevated, giving you a better view. We had to wait before it was opened, but the lady serving us our tickets was very polite. This drive in is in north Las Vegas and is right next door to the airport. It is really really cheap for a whole evening's entertainment - we saw two films for $7.50, which is great value. West wind drive-in has a number of screens showing a variety of genres. A visit to a drive-in movie is surely as American as you can get and something that I've been looking forward to going for ages.
